Welcome Scott

BC DIVING TARGETED ATHLETES

BC Diving would like to Welcome Scott Cranham. Scott represented Canada at the 1972 Summer Olympics, the 1974 British Commonwealth Games, the 1976 Summer Olympics and the 1978 Commonwealth Games. He was also slated to compete in the 1980 Summer Olympics, but did not attend due to Canada’s participation in the 1980 Summer Olympics boycott.  Scott is a 28 times national champion and 4 time medalist at the Commonwealth Games.

Scott was brought on board with BC Diving to help put in place the new changes that have been coming with the High Performance Program. Scott will assist in working towards this transition.   Scott worked with Diving Canada in this very position where he was planning the training programs and assisting the coaches with training plans for all the junior athletes.  It is a great fit for Scott to work with Fu, who was hired by Diving Canada to plan and implement a program for all young athletes coming into the sport. Scott will work with the coaches in the province to design a program for junior athletes coming into the sport at a very young age.  He will also work in the design and programming of the 3 regional centers that have been named in the High Performance Athlete Development Plan.  As Scott is a level 4 coach, as well as a certified Family therapist, he will also be working with athletes and coaches.
